Robert W. Clement

Robert W. Bob Clement, 67, of the Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown, died April 5, 2008. Graveside services will be held at a future date at the Iowa Veterans Home Cemetery. Bob was born on October 7, 1940, in Jacksonville, IL, to Robert Wilbur and Pauline Jesse DeWitt Clement. He received his education in the Jacksonville school system. He served our country in the United States Army. Bob worked as a barber in Salem, OR and also in Des Moines, Iowa. He moved to the IVH in January of 2003. He loved dogs, especially German Shepherds. He was a member of the Marine Corps League, the American Legion, and the AMVETS. Bob is survived by his four children; his brother, Harry (Anne) Clement of Des Moines; 3 nephews, Brian Clement of San Antonio, TX, Andrew Clement of Des Moines, and Christopher Clement of Des Moines; and his cousin George (Phyllis) Barnes of Peoria, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
