Robert Mark Jones, 58, of LeGrand, died November 5, 2008, at his home following a lengthy illness. Memorial services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, November 9th, 2008, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home with Pastor Alan Mullikin officiating. Burial will be at a future date. He graduated from Nesco High School in Zearing in 1969. On November 8, 1975, he was united in marriage to Marla Dillon at the First Friends Church in Marshalltown. The couple made their home in the Marshalltown area. Bob was employed for many years in the meat packing industry. He enjoyed golf, bowling, hunting, and fishing.He is survived by his wife, Marla; his two daughters, Nicole (Chad) Smith of Prairie City, and Katie of Grinnell; his two precious grandchildren, Marshal and Maybelle; his mother, Delores Jones of Zearing; his brother, Bill Jones of Zearing; his two sisters, Jean Bigelow of Marshalltown, and Becky Jones of Zearing; as well as many aunts, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Wayne, and his brother, Dean.
