Robert L. Collins

Robert L. Collins, 73, of Marshalltown, died early Friday morning, May 18, at his home. Following Bobs wishes, there will be a private family service. The Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for Robert and his family. Born on December 14, 1934 in Marshalltown, he was the son of Roy and Flora (Lowery) Collins. He received his education in Albion and Marshalltown. On November 14, 1958, he was united in marriage to Judy Dunn in Marshalltown, where they lived all of their married lives. Robert was employed at Fisher Controls for 43 years. He was an active member of the U.A.W. Robert enjoyed traveling, his dogs and most of all his precious children and grandchildren. Left to mourn his loss are his loving wife, Judy, children Robert (Cheryl) L. Collins Jr., James (Donna) Collins, William (Marie) Collins, Angi (Todd) Kelley, grandchildren Jeff, Branden, Seth, Elizabeth, Tyler, Logan, sister, Jewel Baisly of Florida, his dogs: Princess, Charlie, Snookums and Little Joe. In death he has rejoined his parents and eight of his siblings.
