Robert “Bob” Miller, 74, of Marshalltown, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 in the comfort of his own home. Funeral services for Bob will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 30, 2018 at Mitchell Family Funeral Home with Pastor Sawyer Woodsmall officiating.  Public visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 29, 2018 at Mitchell Family Funeral Home where Bob’s family will be present to greet friends.  Memorial contributions may be directed in Bob’s name to his family.  For further information or to send a condolence please visit www.mitchellfh.com or call (641) 844-1234.  Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for Bob and his family.   Robert Troy Miller was born on April 1, 1943 in Derby, Iowa, the son of Claude and Esther (Smith) Miller.  He attended and graduated from Mormon Trail High School.  Bob was united in marriage to Phyllis Charlier on July 18, 1980 at the Central Christian Church in Marshalltown.  He was very dedicated to his career with Kiowa Corporation where he was a machinist for nearly 34 years. Bob enjoyed camping, antiques, and spending time with his family. Left to cherish his memory is his wife: Phyllis; children: Tom (Sandy) Charlier, Patricia (Steven Nederhoff) Charlier, John Charlier, Mary Charlier, David (Shelly) Charlier, and Mark Charlier; grandchildren: William, Elizabeth, Brandon (Nikki), Robert, and Benjamin (Marta) Charlier;  Alexandra and Dustin Kenefake;  Justin and Joseph Charlier;  Quinten and Jonathan Charlier;  great-grandchildren: Bryan, Maximus, and Natalia Charlier; and Makenzie and Bridget Charlier;  one brother: Lloyd Miller. He is preceded in death by his parents: Claude and Esther Miller; brother: Raymond Smith and two infant brothers, Floyd and Wilbert.
