Bob Mowrey, 83, of Marshalltown, Iowa passed away Wednesday, June 10, 2015, at the St Marys Mayo Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota with his loving daughter, Melanie by his side. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 13, 2015, at the First Baptist Church in Marshalltown, Iowa. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until service time at 11:00 a.m. at the Church. Memorials may be directed to the family to be designated at a later date. Robert Dean Mowrey was born on June 27, 1931, in Victor, Iowa; he was the son of Glenn and Grace (Coleman) Mowrey. Bob attended school in the Brooklyn Community School District graduating with the class of 1949. On January 4, 1953, Bob was united in marriage to Camelia Boyd at the First United Church of Christ in Marshalltown, Iowa, where they made their home. Bob had worked at Lennox and then Iowa Electric Light and Power retiring in 1992. Bob enjoyed horseshoes, rolly bowly, golf, fishing, hunting, bowling, playing pool at the Senior Citizens Center, playing Free Cell on his computer and the most important thing was his family and watching his grandchildren playing sports. Left to cherish Bobs memory is his loving wife of 62 years, Camelia Mowrey of Marshalltown, Iowa. Daughters, Janet (Tom) McClure of St Charles, Missouri, Michelle (Dennis) Elliott of Jordan, Minnesota, and Melanie (Bernie) Johnston of Marshalltown, Iowa. Grandchildren: Robert McClure, Julie (Doug) McClure Sutton, Taryn Johnston, Tahler (Kyle Wildman) Johnston, Coleman Elliott, Kanen Elliott, and Quinten Elliott and great-grandchildren: Karli McClure, Samantha McClure, and Grace Sutton and Bobs twin sister, Betty Norman of Henrietta, Oklahoma, and numerous nieces, nephews and brothers and sisters-in law. In death Bob rejoins his parents, Glenn and Grace, sister, Marjorie Cory and great-grandson, Samuel Allan Sutton.
