Robert Ray Rhatigan

Robert Ray Rhatigan, of Marshalltown, Iowa passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 1, 2022 at the Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown, Iowa.

Robert Rhatigan, who was also known as Bob Rhatigan, was born August 14, 1939 in Iowa City, Iowa to Howard and Elizabeth “Betty” (McDonough) Rhatigan. After high school, Robert served his country honorably in the United States Air Force. After the Air Force, Robert worked as a sheet metal worker. As a hobby, Robert enjoyed fixing watches and woodworking that included making clocks.

Robert is survived by his daughter, Penny Rhatigan and his son, Stephen Rhatigan. He is also survived by his brother, Richard James Rhatigan and many nieces and nephews.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Betty, his step-father, Raymond Jones, sisters, Rosalie Rhatigan and Reva Dunning, brothers, Ronald Rhatigan and Roy Rhatigan. He is also preceded in death by his children, Douglas Rhatigan and Stacy Rhatigan.
