Robert 'Bob' Seemuth

Robert Seemuth, 83, of Marshalltown, passed from this life peacefully on the evening of Monday, January 11th, at the Southridge Nursing and Rehab Center. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, January 15th, at Our Savior Lutheran Church with Pastor Mike Herschberger officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Iowa Veterans Cemetery at Van Meter on Tuesday, January 19th. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 5-7:00 p.m. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home. Robert Frances Seemuth was born on October 16, 1932 in Williamsburg, Iowa, the son of Chas and Winifred Marie (Cahill) Seemuth. Bob was a proud member of the United States Military and following high school he enlisted into the Airforce, where he served four years. On May 25, 1973, Bob was united in marriage to Ruth Joanne (Askland) in the state of Illinois. He was a proud member of Our Savior Lutheran Church and the American Legion. Bob had a passion for golfing, dancing, singing and taking photos. Left to cherish his memory is his wife Ruth amongst others.
