Robert R. “Skeeter” Radcliff,  , of Marshalltown, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at Mary Greely Hospital in Ames, Iowa. Funeral services for Skeeter will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, January 12, 2018 at Mitchell Family Funeral Home with Pastor John Whitehead officiating.  Public visitation will be held one hour prior to services.  After the service there will be a small reception at Toms Cue & Brew in Marshalltown.  Memorial contributions may be directed in Skeeter’s name to his family.  For further information or to send a condolence please visit www.mitchellfh.com or call (641) 844-1234.  Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for Skeeter and his family. Robert Ray Radcliff was born on March 3, 1958 in Marshalltown, Iowa, the son of Joseph and Betty (Olson) Radcliff.  He was raised and educated in the Marshall County School District, graduating from Marshalltown High School.  Skeeter attended school following his graduation from high school, where he learned his trade work as an electrician. Skeeter was currently employed with Phoenix Construction Inc as an electrician.  Skeeter was blessed with nearly a 30 year relationship with the love of his life Becky Hartman.  From this union two sons were born: Robert Ray Jr and Darren Adam.  He had a passion for fishing, hunting, and most importantly spending time with his family and friends enjoying life to the fullest.  Left to cherish his memory is the love of his life: Becky; two sons: Robert Ray Jr. (Sarah) Radcliff of Cambodia and Darren Adams Radcliff of Oskaloosa, IA; siblings: Jackie Berry, Jeri Olear and Steve Radcliff. He is preceded in death by his parents, one sister: Deb and one brother: Craig.
