Robert Weiser Sr.

Robert “Bob” Weiser Sr., 94 years old, formally from Council Bluffs, passed away July 12, 2021 at the Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown, Iowa. A graveside service will be hosted by the family at a later date for Robert Weiser Sr. in Crescent, Iowa. Born April 30, 1927, in Council Bluffs, Robert’s parents were Willis Ward Sr. and Clara Weiser. Bob married Arlene Foote, and they later moved to Marshalltown. They were married on February 15, 1945, and enjoyed their 60 year anniversary on February 15, 2005. Bob was employed for 37 years with the Chicago Northwestern Railroad and Mayflower Movers. He was a member of the Moose Lodge in Marshalltown. Bob was awarded a quilt of Valor in April 2019. Bob and Arlene were blessed with four children: Robert Weiser Jr., Larry Weiser, Michael (Colleen) Weiser, and Charlotte McGinty. They also had eight grandchildren: Danny, Adam, Sam, Ami, Stacey, Todd, Trisha, and Matthew; 16 great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Marcus, Maggie, Angelina, Lauren, Alyssa, Sydney, Meadow, Lexi, Nikolas, Boden, Michael, Alexander, Jonathon, Cayden, and Andrew; and two great-great grandchildren, Val and Aspen. Those who left before his passing are his parents, Willis Weiser Sr. and Clara Weiser; his loving wife, Arlene Weiser; his brother, Willis Weiser Jr.; his son Larry Weiser; his grandson, Todd Weiser; and his daughter-in-law, Connie Weiser. Bob's obituary was lovingly written by his family.
