**For anyone that is planning on being at the funeral home at 6:00 p.m. on Monday for Rob's final ride, please meet in the parking lot of the Iowa Funeral Museum (the old Casey's building) right next door to the east of the funeral home** Robert James White, 53, of Marshalltown, passed away on Thursday, May 30, 2019 at State Center Specialty Care and under the care of the Iowa River Hospice Home.   A Celebration of Life for Rob will be held on Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown. Visitation will be on Monday, June 3, 2019 from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. also at the funeral home. There will be a “final ride” for Rob and anyone that is planning on going on his last ride should meet at the funeral home at 6:00 p.m. Monday before the visitation. Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for Rob and his family.   Robert James White was born on June 30, 1965 in Phoenix, Arizona to Bobby J. and Julia Lee White. Rob served his country honorably in the United States Army. In April of 2008, Rob was united in marriage to Peggy Lilly at Central Christian Church in Marshalltown. He retired from the Federal Correctional Institution in Oxford, Wisconsin as a Lieutenant. Rob was an avid Harley rider, enjoyed fishing, brewing his own beer, bowling, was a dog lover, and also a fantastic cook and a couple of his specialties were his BBQ ribs and cheese cake.   Rob is survived by his wife of 11 years, Peggy; children: Jayme, Stephanie (Ryan) and Matthew; mother Julia (Will); siblings: Judie (Merle), Sandy and Donald (Lucinda); grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Dane and Wyatt as well as nephews; Garrett and Mitchell and nieces, Suzanne and Bethany.   Rob is preceded in death by his father, Bobby.
