Robin Menuey

Robin JoAnn Menuey, 46, of Marshalltown, died Sunday, January 4th, 2009 at Marshalltown Medical and Surgical Center. A celebration of Robins life will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 8th at Center Street Baptist Church in Marshalltown. There will be no visitation. Robin will be laid to rest, in a private ceremony, in Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family. For condolences, please visit www.mitchellfh.com. The Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for Robin and her family, phone 641-844-1234. Robin was born in Eldora on May 3rd, 1962 to parents Jim and Beverly (Sears) Eggleston. Robin attended school in Eldora and graduated from Marshalltown High School. On June 11th, 1983, Robin was united in marriage to Steve Menuey in Marshalltown. The couple made their home in the Marshalltown area, and had lived in Harlan, IA for a while, where Robin served as Mayor for 2 years. Robin was a homemaker and a daycare provider, having provided care for many children over the years. Robin cherished these children, her family, and her faith. Robins life is celebrated, and her early departure mourned, by countless friends and loved ones, including her husband of 25 years, Steve; her dad, Jim Eggleston; her children: Chelsea, Travis, Joshua, Nathan, and Megan; her granddaughter Lily; her brothers Roger (Lori) and Rodney (Teresa) Eggleston; and her nieces and nephews. In death, Robin has rejoined her mother Beverly, who passed away in 2004.
