Rodney Lane Gale

Rodney L. Gale, “Rod” 53, of Marshalltown, Iowa, passed away on the morning of Sunday, May 12, 2019 in the comfort of his own home. Following Rod’s wishes, cremation rites have been accorded.  Memorial services for Rod will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 16, 2019 at Mitchell Family Funeral Home with Pastor Bobby Shomo officiating.   Public visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until services begin.  He will be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery following services.  Memorial contributions may be directed in Rodney’s name to his family.  For further information or to send a condolence please visit www.mitchellfh.com or call (641) 844-1234.  Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for Rod and his family. Rodney Lane Gale was born on March 29, 1966 in Marshalltown, Iowa, the son of Robert and Hyla (Hemmen) Gale.  He was raised and educated in the Marshall County School District, where he graduated from Marshalltown High School.  Rod has two amazing children Theron and Sydni.  Rodney was currently working at CIRSI in Marshalltown at the time of his passing. He enjoyed collecting comic books and classic model cars.  Left to cherish his memory are his children: Theron and Sydni Gale; father: Robert Gale; siblings: Laura Gale and Teresa (Steve) Houser; his nephew: Trevor Andrews; as well as his aunts and uncles: Carla (Doug) Youngdale and Harley Hemmen.   He is preceded in death by his mother: Hyla Gale.
