Roger Dale Lanning

Roger Dale Lanning, 58, of Melbourne, Iowa, died Friday, July 3rd 2009, at the Veterans Hospital in Knoxville, Iowa. Per his wishes, cremation has been accorded and there will be no services. Roger was born in State Center on October 12th, 1950, to Vernon Dale and Ella (Clausen) Lanning. He attended school in Melbourne and State Center. Roger served our country honorably in the United States Army from 1970 to 1972. He resided in the Melbourne area most of his life, working for Lanning Plumbing and Heating and then as a farm hand. Left to cherish his memory is are brothers Denny (Nancy) Lanning of Melbourne, Nile (Fran) Lanning of Nevada, and Terry Lanning of Lincoln, California and a sister Vivian Gagen of Ankeny, Iowa . Roger was proceeded by his parents.
