Roger Raphael Neuroth went to be with the Lord and his heavenly family on December 5, 2014. He passed peacefully at his residence in Marshalltown, Iowa. Roger was born on December 10, 1946 in Marshalltown, IA. Roger went to St. Joseph School, grades K 8th in Haverhill, IA and then graduated in 1964 from St. Marys Catholic High School in Marshalltown, IA. Roger also attended Marshalltown Community College for Construction Engineering. Upon high school graduation, Roger worked on the Stalzer family farm and worked for Dunham Bush in Marshalltown, IA. He was then drafted into the United States Army where he served for 2 years (May 17, 1966 May 9, 1968). After his honorable service he moved to California and got a job at Keyser Steel. Roger moved back to Iowa when his dad got sick. He went back to work at Dunham Bush and the Stalzer farm. Then he worked at Morton Buildings for 20 years from 1973 1993. Roger was a member of the Moose Lodge and Knights of Columbus. His hobbies included fishing and golfing. Playing darts and watching football with his friends. He was a skilled carpenter who enjoyed working with his hands. Roger is survived by his daughters Kris(Mike) Marquis and Lori(Todd) Watters, grandchildren Mitch, Michelle & McKade Marquis and Jake & Lauren Watters, brothers Marvin(Donna), Gary(Jan), Dean(Kendra), sister Cheryl(Dennis) Raum and many nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbert (Bud) Charles and Ethel Rose (Stalzer) Neuroth, and sister, Janet Elaine Hayek. Funeral services, under the direction of Mitchell Funeral Home, 1209 Iowa Ave W, Marshalltown, IA 50158, will be held December 12, 2014 at the Haverhill Immaculate Conception Oratory, 101 Second Ave, Haverhill, IA 50120. The viewing begins at 10 am and the funeral begins at 11 am. Immediate following, a reception will be held at the Haverhill Social Club. Roger will be buried at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery, 34024 Veterans Memorial Drive, Adel, IA 50003 at a later date. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory of Roger. He will be greatly missed.
