Romaine Pearl Loffgren (Red) 80, of Marshalltown died October 31, 2009 in Phoenix, Arizona. Memorial Services will be 11:00 a.m. on December 5,2009at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown . There will be no visitation. Memorials may be directed to the family. Romaine Loffgren was born March 4th 1929 to Earl and Elsa Allspach Milligan in Collins, Iowa; she graduated High school in Collins. Romaine married Eldon Loffgren on December 29, 1986 in Missouri and they have resided in Marshalltown. For the last number of years they have wintered in Arizona returning to Marshalltown for the summers. Red enjoyed going to garage sales, her real passion was working in the yard and her flower beds. Also she spent a life time sewing and quilt making for all of her loved ones. Left to cherish her memory are her husband Eldon ( Butch) and their children Rowena( Vaughn) Noring of Johnston, Shelly Rank of Denver, Colorado, Jaye Loffgren of Marshalltown, Cindy Numann of Minneapolis, Scott Loffgren of Marshalltown, Renita ( Robert) Dudek , of Surprise Arizona , Robert(Sheryl) Wilkening of Gilbert, Arizona and Ranette Wilkening of Marshalltown,12 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren , siblings; Arnold Milligan, Jr. (Audrey) Milligan, Joy(Darrell) Moses and Dorsey Leonard all of Arizona and Reno (Jinney) Milligan of Collins , Iowa. Romaine was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Ronna Jean Polhman, sister in law; Betty Milligan and brother in-law; Jim Leonard.
