Ronald Lee Bendlage

Ronald Lee Bendlage, 62, of Marshalltown, passed away on Thursday, February 7, 2019 at the Iowa River Hospice Home in Marshalltown. A memorial gathering held by the family will be from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 17, 2019 at Riverview Park in Marshalltown. Memorials may be directed to the family. Ronald Bendlage was born on December 15, 1956 at St Thomas Hospital in Marshalltown to John E. Bendlage Sr. and Neva M. Balmer Bendlage. He had previously been employed running 12th St recycling shop in Marshalltown and also helped on the garbage route for the Ferch family. Anyone who knew Ron knew how much he liked having a good time, drinking a little beer, and listening to tunes, especially the Doors and CCR. But most of all he loved spending time with his family and loved ones. Ron is survived by his children: Amber (Jeremy) McStockard of Steamboat Rock, Tyler Bendlage of Marshalltown and Savanha (Andrew) Bendlage of Gilman. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Piper, Zoey, Novaleigh, Hemi, Aspen, A.J., and soon to be born, Grayson as well as siblings: John Bendlage of Marshalltown, James Bendlage of Cedar Rapids, Pat (Tom) Moore of Marshalltown and sister-in-law Jennifer Thompson of Marshalltown, and many loving nieces, nephews, family and friends. Ron is preceded in death by his parents, John and Neva and sister in law Deb Bendlage.
