Ronald Eugene Keller, 73, of Marshalltown, passed away unexpectedly due to a massive stroke on Tuesday, March 24, 2020 at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics. A Celebration of Life for Ron will be held on his birthday Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at the Hope United Methodist Church beginning at 2:00 P.M. He graduated from Brooklyn High School and from Iowa State University. Ron is a Vietnam veteran who served his country honorably in the United States Army from June of 1968 until his honorable discharge in June of 1970. He was united in marriage to Jan in 2000. Ron was retired from Fisher Controls Order Adm. Department where he was an OE Analyst/ “product engineer”/ “read the book” instructor and all round walking EM encyclopedia. He was a member of the Marshalltown Bike Club, American Legion and the Hope United Methodist Church. Ron was an avid Green Bay Packer, Sprint car and NASCAR fan. He loved biking and enjoyed going on RAGBRAI for many years. Ron is survived by his wife, Jan; step children: Jeff Ferguson and Todd (Leslie) Ferguson; grandchildren: Libby Ferguson, Maddie Chrum and Briana (Trevor) Rounds and siblings: Carol (Dave) Henle and Marvin Keller: and nieces and nephew. Ron is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Vera and his father-in-law Jerry Powers.
