Ronald Good

Ronald Good, 76, of Marshalltown, died Wednesday, August 15, 2012, at the Iowa River Hospice House in Marshalltown. Per Rons wishes, following cremation, no services are planned at this time. Memorial contributions may be directed in his name to his family. The Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for Ron and his family.Ron was born December 15, 1935, in Marshalltown, Iowa, the son of Marvin and Mary (Curley) Good. He was raised and educated in Marshalltown, attending St. Marys Catholic Schools. Following his graduation, Ron was employed by Lennox for a short time before beginning his life long career at Fisher Controls. Ron took early retirement from Fishers at the age of fifty-five. During his retirement Ron enjoyed collecting and shooting guns. Above all Ron enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather to his family and will be greatly missed. Ron was a member of the Marshall County Gun Club and the Marshall County Izaak Walton League. Ron is survived by his daughter Michele Cain Beets of Marshalltown, his two grandchildren Brittney Beets and Nikolaus Cain, his great-grandson Phoenix Cain and several nieces and nephews.Ron was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Robert Good.
