Ronald Lee Hartwig, 69, of State Center, died December 11th, 2008, at his home. Memorial services will be at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 16, 2008, at Mitchell Family Funeral Home State Center Chapel with Pastor Mike Maddick officiating. Burial will be at future date. He was the son of Leland L. and Ina (Niedert) Hartwig. He graduated from State Center High School in 1958. He served our country proudly in the United States Army from 1961-1967. Ron graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a degree in Business. He worked for Sears and Tractor Supply Company before helping on the family farm. He enjoyed listening to classical music and watching movies about World War II. Ron is survived by his brother, David (Beverly) Hartwig of State Center and several nieces and nephews. In death, he has rejoined his parents and his sister, Marilyn.
