Ronald A. Kuehn, 82, of Marshalltown passed away peacefully at Unity Point St. Lukes Hospital in Cedar Rapids on September 26, 2025. He was the son of Bill and Iva (Kolb) Kuehn. He grew up helping his dad on the farm near Fort Dodge, Iowa. On November 27, 1966, he was married to Kay Truelson of rural Gilmore City, Iowa. They cared for several foster children, and remain close to a special one, Mike (Tammy) Fisher and their family.
Ron worked several jobs, sometimes two or three simultaneously. Before moving to Marshalltown, Ron worked at Celotex in Fort Dodge. While working at Fisher Controls, Ron drove dump trucks for Kenny Pothast, and operated a lawn and snow removal business. After retiring from Fishers, Ron transported crews for the railroad, and later was security guard for Swift and Co. For many years, Ron served in the Army National Guard and Iowa Air National Guard.
Ron is survived by his wife Kay; brother Gerald (Jane) Kuehn of Huxley, IA; Sister Joyce (Myron) Pingel of Cherokee, IA; sisters-in-law, Judy (Cortlyn) Almquist of Whitewater, WI and JoAnn (Bob) Bringolf of Newton, IA and several nieces and nephews.
Mitchell Family Funeral Home of Marshalltown has been entrusted with arrangements. Graveside services will be held at Riverside Cemetery in Marshalltown, Iowa on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at 1:00 P.M.
