Ronald Lewis

Ronald Lewis, 76, of Marshalltown, died Thursday, November 10, 2011, at his home surrounded by his family. The Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for Ronald and his family. Following cremation, no services are planned at this time. A private family burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery. He was raised in the Parkersburg area and attended the Parkersburg school system. Following high school Ronald moved to Marshalltown where he met his wife Gladys Stanley. Ronald and Gladys were married on January 3, 1958, in Marshalltown, Iowa. To this union four children were born. Throughout his lifetime Ronald was employed by several scrapyards, spending most of his working career at M. Gervich & Sons and later retired from Krantmans Steel at the age of 62. Ronald enjoyed spending his free time fishing and hunting. Ronald is survived by his children: Lucille (Randy Davidson) Dirks of Marshalltown, Ronald Lewis Jr. of Montezuma, Linda (Russ) Moore of Marshalltown and James (Ronda Sieck) Lewis of Marshalltown, seven grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren. Ronald was preceded in death by his parents and his wives Gladys Stanley Lewis and Dixie Lewis.
