Rose Rosie Meriam Mulstay, 75, of Albion, Iowa passed away on Monday, September 28, 2015, in Marshalltown, Iowa, at the Iowa River Hospice Home. A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 3, 2015, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown, Iowa. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, October 2, 2015, at the funeral home. The family requests that guests honor Rose with casual attire and/ or by wearing something red. Rose Meriam Paglia was born on August 13, 1940, in Marshalltown, Iowa; she was the daughter of Mike and Hazel (Ramsey) Paglia. She lived most of her life in Albion, attending school and raising her family there. On December 1, 1957, Rose was married to Gordon Weatherly. On December 31, 1973, she was married to Tim Mulstay. Rosie worked for many establishments and businesses in Marshalltown; Totem Bowl, Beneficial Finance, The Woodshed Lounge, the Rendezvous Lounge, Office Lounge, Lennox, Fisher Controls, DiGiacomos Italian Restaurant, Jax, Thunderbird Restaurant, and That Place at the Conrad corner. She often worked two jobs at a time. Before retiring she found her true calling as a Pampered Chef Consultant and followed that line of work for several years. Rosie was a devoted mother, loved cooking family meals, having family get-togethers, and playing cards. Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Mike Weatherly and Kip (Tara) Weatherly both of Albion, Iowa; daughters Penny Weatherly-Duer (John Matney), Pam Klinefelter (Jim Schilling) both of Marshalltown, Iowa, and Amy (David) Caulkins of Phoenix, Arizona; her adopted daughters and son ,Gayle Fricke, Shawnee Holtkamp, Shawn-Bud McLean, Kelly Darter, and Kerry Abrahams; her grandchildren Jilissa Weatherly of Marshalltown and Nicolas (Heather) Weatherly of Albion (who both lived with her a great deal of their childhood lives), Tia (Admir) Smardzic and Tanner Weese of Waterloo; Tisha Corum of Grafton North Dakota; and Cole and Tony Weatherly of Albion (who enjoyed staying with Grandma, holding hands and watching movies); and her great-grandchildren Angela Jean, Amiaha McKenzie, Kambri Autumn, Nicolas LeRoy, Azuriahna Rose, and Emma Jane. Welcoming Rosie to her Heavenly home are her only sister, Charleene Woods Walters; nephew, K Allen Woods; her parents, Mike and Hazel Paglia; and a host of grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Rosie touched many lives, and she will be missed forever.
