Roseanna "Rosie" Morrison

Roseanna “Rosie” Marie (Haleen) Morrison, 94, of Marshalltown, Iowa, formerly of Boone, passed away peacefully at home with family by her side on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 under the care of Iowa River Hospice.

Per the wishes of Roseanna and her family, cremation rites have been accorded under the care of the Mitchell Family Funeral Home. A private family graveside will take place at a later date. Born October 29, 1927 in Boone, Iowa, she was the daughter of Allen and Bessie (Smith) Haleen. She graduated from Boone High School, where she was a member of the Scottish Highlander Drum and Bugle Corps. She relocated to Marshalltown shortly after to work at The Thrifty Lady. She was married to Richard Morrison and they were blessed with three daughters. The couple later divorced. Roseanna worked as one of the first three female parking meter readers and later retired from Fidelity Bank. She was a member of the Lions Club and over the years, her interests included playing cards, golf and sewing.

Left to cherish her memory are her three daughters: Peggy Morrison of Marshalltown, Kathy Kinder of Heartville, OH and Diane Lake of Marshalltown; two grandchildren: Catherine (Ian) Newby and Justin (Caridad) Kinder; three great-grandchildren: Xavier, Zoe and Mya Kinder; her brother, Jim Haleen; sister-in-law Macy (Haleen) Burgin and numerous nieces and nephews.

In eternal life she was reunited with her long-time companion, Dean Fogerty Sr., her parents and her siblings: Alice (Kirk) Keeney, Lavida Haleen in infancy, John Haleen, Bill (Rosemary) Haleen and Betty Haleen.
