Roxane Whitmore

Roxane Rox Whitmore, 51, of Marshalltown, died early Sunday morning, October 2, at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines after a short but brave battle with cancer. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, October 6, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 5-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Born on April 23, 1960, in Marshalltown, she was the daughter of Dale and Dorothy (Dougherty) Whitmore. She received her education in the LDF Schools and resided in the Marshalltown area all of her life. Roxane was employed at MMSC, BDL Excavating and the Quakerdale Home. She treasured her family- especially the grandkids and enjoyed working in the yard with them. Left to cherish her memory are her children: Trisha Jones (Anthony) of Whitten, Travis (Danielle) Jones of Grinnell and Trina Heil of Marshalltown, grandchildren: Sage, Emmie, Nate, Wyatt, Brody, Hayden and Abby; her parents Dale and Dorothy of Marshalltown, brother Doug (Kerry) Whitmore and sister Chris (Tim) Bennett as well as many friends.
