PLEASE NOTE SERVICE DATE>>> Royce Banghart, 92, former Ferguson area resident, died early Monday momnring, October 7, at the Grandview Heights in Marshalltown. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 18, at the Ferguson Christian Bible Church. He will be laid to rest in the Albion Cemetery at Albion. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be directed to the church. For condolences, please visit www.mitchellfh.com. Ph. 641-844-1234. Born on January 19, 1921, at Laurel, Iowa, he was the only child born to Arvis A.E. and Hannah (Anderson) Banghart. They made their home on acreage near Ferguson their entire married lives. Mr. Banghart was instrumental in the construction of buildings still in our society today while working with Muller and later Gethman Construction. Those buildings include the Bell Telephone Building and Fisher Controls in Marshalltown, part of Grinnell College and Iowa State as well as many others. Royce was a hardworking man who loved to share the gospel with others, spend time with family and friends and took in the occasional hunting trip or day fishing. Left to cherish his memory are his children: Ronald (Linda) Banghart of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Joyce Banghart of Minneapolis, Minnesota; grandchildren: Michael (Aldin) Banghart, Melissa (Dan) Rammelsberg, and Mark Banghart; great-grandchildren: Brooklyn and Madison, as well as his church family and family at Grandview Heights.
