July 18, 1962 — March 12, 2019

Russell A. Dutton, 56, of Marshalltown, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at Unity Point Hospital in Marshalltown, Iowa. Following Russell’s wishes, cremation rites have been accorded and there will be no services held through Mitchell Funeral Home.  Russell’s family is going to be holding a celebration of life on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at Riverview Park from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m.. The location is: Riverview Park 402 Woodland Marshalltown, IA, 50158.  Memorial contributions may be directed in Russell’s name to his family which will be later designated elsewhere.  For further information or to send a condolence please visit www.mitchellfh.com or call (641) 844-1234.  Russell Allen Dutton was born on July 18, 1962 in Marshalltown, Iowa, the son of Wendell and Esther (Krough) Dutton.  He was raised and educated in the Clemons School District, where he graduated with the West Marshall class of 1979.  Russell was united in marriage to Lori Lodestein on May 28, 1982 in Zearing, Iowa. The two later divorced but were blessed with two wonderful daughters: Danielle and Arianne. Russell was a hardworking man dedicating his time and effort in all he did.  From the age of 15, Russell worked at the Elevators when he could help do different tasks.  He ended up making it a full time job as he got older.  Russell also enjoyed seeing God Country by driving a semi for many, many years.  His most recent job was working for TLC.  Russell enjoyed fishing, woodworking, carpentry work, watching W.W.E. wresting and also spending time with his family. Left to cherish his memory are his children: Dannielle Dutton and Arianne (Jeffery) Rhodes; three brothers: Rick, Rod, and Roger; two sisters: Vicki and Wendi Dutton; several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephew and great-great nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Wendell and Esther Dutton as well as his four legged furry companion, Max.
