Ruth Brandt

Ruth Elaine Brandt, 81, of Marshalltown, passed away on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at Southridge Specialty Care. Per the wishes of Ruth and her family, cremation rites have been accorded under the care of the Mitchell Family Funeral Home and no services will take place at this time. She graduated from Albion High School. She worked for Marshalltown Manufacturing and then Lennox Industries, where she retired in 2002. In her free time, Ruth enjoyed landscaping and working in the yard, reading and watching Westerns. More than anything else she enjoyed visiting with her children and grandchildren. Ruth is survived by three daughters: Brenda Pappas (Dane Wills) of Marshalltown, Julie (Jeff) Fisher of Story City and Cindy (Dan) Carruthers of Lenox and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. In death, she is reunited with her parents, two daughters: Denise Brandt and Chris Stanley, many brothers and one sister.
