Ryan Allen Grossman, 26, of Marshalltown, passed away on Monday, January 12, 2015 at his home. Memorial services for Ryan will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown. Memorials may be directed to the family. Ryan Grossman was born on January 28, 1988 in Marshalltown to Mark and Vicky Grossman. Ryan had currently worked for Caseys General Store. He also had helped his dad as a metal fabricator. Ryan had a passion for music. He currently played guitar in the band Forever Tormented and previously in the band Abdicate. Ryan also enjoyed cats and would bring new strays home with him. Ryan is survived by his parents: Mark and Vicky; brother: Kyle Grossman, grandmothers: Wrightabelle Grossman and Coralynn Vis and his aunts and uncles: Loran and Florence Vis, Don Vis, Aaron and Shannon Mitchell, Eric Grossman and Dean Conrad as well as other family and friends. Ryan is preceded in death by his grandfathers Harvey Vis and Lloyd Grossman and aunt Deb Conrad.
