Ryan Rank, 36, of Marion, Iowa, formerly of Marshalltown passed away on Sunday, January 13, 2013, at the Iowa River Hospice Home surrounded by his loving family.A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, January 18, 2013, at The Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown, Iowa. Please feel free to wear casual clothing. Visitation will be on Thursday, January 17, 2013, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Phone 641-844-1234.Ryan Edward Rank was born on February 15, 1976, in San Diego, California. He was the only son of Richard Allen and Cindy (Gersdorf) Rank. Ryan attended school in the East Marshall School District graduating with the class of 1994. He went on to attend classes at Marshalltown Community College. Ryan lived in Cole Camp, Missouri, Marshalltown, and in Marion, Iowa. He enjoyed the outdoors, loved to fish and always caught the most fish, was a movie buff, loved all his pets and all animals, and will be remembered as being a loyal, loving friend. During Ryans working career he worked in a variety of jobs in construction and tree trimming\.Left to cherish his memory are his parents: Cindy Muhlena and stepfather: Kenny Muhlena of rural Marshalltown; Richard Rank of Missouri.
