Sally Schoep

Sally (Myers) Schoep, 67, of Marshalltown, died Thursday evening, May 1st, at the MMSC. A service to remember Sally will be held at 7:00 p.m. Monday, May 5th, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home with visitation occurring from 5-7:00 p.m. Memorials may be directed to her family. For condolences, please visit www.mitchellfh.com. Ph. 641-844-1234. Born Sally Ann Myers on July 17th, 1946, in Ames, she was the daughter of Dwayne and Lois (Ayers) Myers. She graduated from the Nevada High School in 1964. On November 20, 1964, she was united in marriage to Arden Schoep at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. They resided in Nevada, Independence and Marshalltown where she worked as a legal secretary until retiring due to health. Sally enjoyed music and dancing, bowling, supporting her daughters softball team and gambling/bingo. Her first trip to Las Vegas was a combination of three things- first flight, first time to Vegas and first time to a casino. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Doddy Schoep of Grimes, brother Craig (Cindy) Myers of Nevada, her uncles- Dale (Bonnie) Knutson of Ankeny and Gary Knutson of Nevada, her dear longtime friend and caregiver Jackie Berry of Marshalltown and niece Sarah (Brent) Arndt of Park River, North Dakota. In death, she rejoined her parents.
