Sandra Lee Davis

Sandra Lee Davis, 68, of Deer River, Minnesota, passed away on Friday, October 18, 2013. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 24, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown. Visitation will be held before the service from 12:00-1:00 p.m. also at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family for designation at a later date. Sandra Lee Glenewinkel was born on July 25, 1945 and raised in La Crosse, Wisconsin. She was the daughter of Walter and Anna Much Glenewinkel. She moved to the area and attended Marshalltown High School, graduating in 1963. On August 21, 1965, Sandra was united in marriage to Dean Davis at Elim Lutheran Church in Marshalltown. Sandra had previously been employed with Marshalltown Instruments for 20 years before they closed. Sandra enjoyed watching and feeding the many deer in her yard, fishing, and taking care of all her animals. Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 48 years; Dean; brother-in-law: Wayne (Janet) Davis; sister-in-law: Donna Davis Allee and numerous nieces and nephews. Sandra is preceded in death by her parents, brother-in-law Roger Davis, mother-in-law Emma Davis and father-in-law Alvin Davis.
