Sandra Kohl

Sandra Ann Kohl, 72, of Toledo, passed away Monday, December 13, 2021. Born September 29, 1949 in Chelsea, Iowa, Sandra was the daughter of Edgar and Ruth (Hlavacek) Whitsell. She graduated from South Tama High School in 1967 and went on to attend college courses. After meeting the love of her life, Everett Kohl, they were united in marriage on April 15, 1985 in Cedar Rapids. In addition to the hard work of being an excellent mother and wife, Sandra worked as a medical claims processor and office manager. In her free time, she loved being at home and spending time with her family, and was an avid NASCAR fan. In addition to her love and care, she will best be remembered by her family for always being happy and doing the right thing. Those left to cherish her memory include her children: Mark (Debra) Seligman and Jessica Kohl and her seven grandchildren. In death, she is reunited with her beloved husband, Everett; her parents, Edgar and Ruth; her brother, Edgar Jr. and one grandson. Funeral services for Sandra will take place on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at the Chelsea United Methodist Church in Chelsea, Iowa with Pastor Tom Petersen officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior beginning at 10:00 A.M. Sandra will be laid to rest at the Rector Cemetery in Chelsea.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family for later designation.
