Saralyn Peters was born January 17, 1958 to parents Robert and Lori (Manuel) Peters in Marengo, Iowa. She was raised by her mother Lori and Bob Allen, and later John Carrigan. She attended school in Winterset and Hubbard graduating in the Class of 1976. Following high school, she hitchhiked to Colorado Springs, CO where she married her first husband Bill Humes. They soon moved to Marshalltown, to start their family by being blessed with their daughter Natalie. The two were later divorced. She was later united in marriage to her second husband Bob Robovsky and they were blessed with two children, Kylie Jo and John Brandon. They later divorced and Sara married the love of her life Harold McStockard. They celebrated many years together before eventually separating. Many members of the community know Sara from working at Ma & Pa stores, spending many years at Steffensen's. In her free time, Sara enjoyed a wide variety of hobbies and crafts, she loved to crochet and quilt. She created several pieces for charitable auctions to benefit H.E.A.R.T. for local animal shelters in Eldora. She loved to write and read poetry. She loved trips to Houston and Galveston, Texas where she could take walks on the beach with her mom, her children, and her best friend Debbie Armstrong. She enjoyed spending time with her many friends and going to Rumors and the Weathered Wheel where she would have either have a sweet tea or a diet Pepsi with “lots of ice on the side". She was an amazing cook and loved to make meals and deserts for her family, especially her infamous deep dish pizza and goulash. She had an eye for interior decorating and could always go for watching her favorite movie, The Wizard of Oz. She had a knack for random facts and loved to test her kids on music which most of the time had to deal with the 70’s rock music that she loved so much. She was an admirer of antiques, going to thrift stores for some shopping, and going to auctions with Harold. Sara had the natural ability to play matchmaker with so many of her friends. In her later years Sara loved going on the open road for day trips while sitting on the back of a Harley Davidson. She will be missed by so many including her high school friend Lynn Doering, friends Chris Suchak, Jason Boles, Don and Lorrainne Wilson and especially her 20 year old dog Porsche. Left to remember and cherish her memory are her children Natalie (Jeffery) Renken, Kylie Carrigan (Tye Mundt), and John Robovsky (Burton Powley); her grandchildren, Brendon Fry, Taeviss Fite, Allison Boles, and Hayden Boles; her siblings, Randy Allen, Gene Peters, Karen Hollingsworth, and Scott (Tammy) Allen; her mother Lori (Tommy) Kerr; alongside a large family of numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by Robert Peters, Bob Allen, and John Carrigan.
