HIS DATE OF PASSING IS MARCH 13TH.  Scott Dannen, 53, of Rhodes, Iowa, passed away in the comfort of his own home on Friday, March 13, 2020. A graveside service for Scott will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2020 beginning at 1:00 p.m. at the Eden Cemetery in Rhodes. Family and friends are invited to join. Dannen was born December 29,1966 to parents Duane “Chuck” and Rita (Branscomb) Dannen in Marshalltown, Iowa. Scott attended school in the West Marshall School District and graduated from West Marshall High School with the class of 1985. While in school, Scott took part in athletic wrestling. Scott was a lifetime citizen of Rhodes, Iowa and was a proud member of his community. He worked for years as a car salesman at Autoplex and Dewey Ford. In his free time, Scott had a wide range of hobbies and interests that included cars and collecting car memorabilia, buying tools, watching amateur wrestling, and socializing at the Rhodes Bar. He was known to enjoy a good argument and a good time. He loved listening to country music and attending family dinners although he would make everybody else wait for him.  He was one who didn’t enjoy the mornings and he was the previous owner of the Rhodes bar and remodeled the inside to what it is now. He served as a member on the Rhodes City Council. Left to remember and cherish his memory are his parents Chuck and Rita Dannen; his siblings Ed and Shawn Dannen; and his uncles, aunts, cousins. He is preceded in death by his brother Jeff Dannen; his paternal and maternal grandparents; and several aunts and uncles.
