Scott Roseland, 50, of Marshalltown, died late Wednesday evening, May 25, 2016, from complications that arose after a medical procedure that day. Visitation will be on Saturday, June 4th from 9-11 a.m. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home. Burial will be at 11:30 a.m. at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens following the visitation. He graduated in the Spring of 1987 from Pleasant Hill School in Marshalltown. He participated on the Pleasant Hill Pirates slow-pitch softball team, wrestling team and Special Olympics. He was very talented when it came to bowling and won many trophies which he was so proud of. Scott was employed at Mid Iowa Workshop, Inc. where he had worked since August 1988. In his spare time he loved watching professional wrestling, watching videos and listening to music. Scott was an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan and especially loved Christmas time, enjoying time with family and friends. In his younger days, he loved going with his family to horse shows where he was most known for walking around with a bag of potato chips in hand. He loved being raised on the farm and enjoyed all the farm animals and the Marshall County Fair. Left to cherish his memory are his siblings Kristi Roseland (Bennie Wolfe), Tim (Deleana) Roseland, Kendra (Daryl) Stalzer, and sister-in-law Judy Roseland, and many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and cousins. In death, Scott rejoins his grandparents, parents, and brother Mark Roseland.
