Seth Patrick Metzger

Seth Patrick Metzger, infant son of Kevin and Rebecca Metzger of State Center, died Thursday, April 29, 2010, at his home. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, May 3, 2010, at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Marshalltown. Burial will be in St. Johns Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday afternoon from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at Mitchell Family Funeral Home West Marshall Chapel in State Center. Memorials may be directed to the family. Seth Patrick Metzger was born on September 5, 2009, at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames. He was the son of Kevin and Rebecca (Tollefson) Metzger and brother of Ashleigh and Jaymes Metzger, all of State Center. He loved his paci, Beethoven music, his brown and blue blanket, swinging in his physical therapy swing, and holding Jaymes hand and listening to Ashleigh sing. He was lovingly called Pooh Bear by his family. Seth will be missed by his parents, his sister Ashleigh, his brother Jaymes, his grandparents, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.In death he rejoins his great-grandparents Leo and Emma Tollefson, Jim and Velma Chamra, Hilda and Richard Metzger, and Durwood and Catherine St. John, and his two uncles Randy Tollefson and Danny Tollefson.
