Sharen Richeson

Sharen E. Richeson, 69, of Marshalltown, died Sunday, December 7th, 2008, at Grandview Heights while under the care of her loving family andIowa River Hospice. Per Sharens wishes, cremation rites have been accorded and there will be no funeral services held. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be directed to Sharens family. For condolences, please visit www.mitchellfh.com. The Mitchell Family Funeral Home has been caring for Sharen and her family. Sharen Elaine Goette was born on September 26, 1939, in Iowa City. She was the daughter of Oscar and Berneda Goette. She attended school in Marshalltown. On June 25, 1956, she married Ronnie Richeson in Marshalltown.Sharen worked at various businesses in the Marshalltown area. She was a baker at HyVee, worked at Marshalltown Instruments and Ron Fisher furniture, was a ticket taker at the movie theatre, was an egg candler at the chicken hatchery, and most recently worked as a jailer at the Marshall County Jail, where she retired from in the late 1980s. She and Ronnie also had their own business, Richeson Rentals. Ronnie died on March 8, 2008.Sharen enjoyed sewing, crocheting, knitting, drawing, painting, and playing Bingo at the Moose Lodge and Meskwaki. Left to celebrate her life are her children, Michael Richeson, Penny(Homer) Levis), and Shawn(Annette) Richeson; her grandchildren, Terrica(Michael) Wilhelm, Tyson(Stephanie) Thompson, Lisa(Nick) Kliema, David(Lacey) Richeson, Clinton Levis, Justin Richeson, and Stephanie Richeson; her 15 great-grandchildren, and her sisters, Reita Acord and Sandy Zonce. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronnie; her sister, Sharla Funke; and her grandson, Alexious Runner.
