Sharilyn Kay Nutter of Johnston, Iowa passed away at home on Sunday October 9, 2011.Memorial Service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 13, 2011 at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown, Iowa. Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for Shari and her family.Sharilyn Kay Vorak was born on July 23, 1945 in Boone, Iowa; she was the daughter of Arthur and Ferne (Petersen) Varak. Shari was educated in the area of her birth and then attended Iowa State University graduating with a bachelors degree in Computer Science. She had met Jack Nutter in 1976 and then they later married in 1989 in Mazeppa, Minnesota. Shari had been employed at John Deere Credit in Johnston. She enjoyed crafts, collecting rocks and fossils, record albums, enjoyed anything about horses, antique and enjoyed the flea markets, and loved her dog Chevy.Shari will be missed by her husband, Jack Nutter of Johnston, IA; her children: Christy Heronimus of Urbandale, IA and Eric Bennett of Johnston, IA; her grandchildren: Tyler and Zachary of Urbandale, IA, Page and Wade of Rochester, MN; and her siblings: Carolee Beckett and Sheila Pothoven. Shari was preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Ferne, her son Craig and her sister, Lori.
