Sharon Noble

Sharon Noble, 71, of Parkersburg, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at Marshalltown Medical and Surgical Center. Honoring Sharons wishes there will be no services at this time. Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for Sharon and her family. Born Sharon K. Noble on March 25, 1942, in Waterloo, Iowa, the daughter of Wesley and Betty (Forney) Noble. She was raised and educated in the Union-Whitten school district graduating from Union-Whitten High School. Sharon was united in marriage to Dennis Arkland on February 18, 1961, at the Methodist Church in Eldora, Iowa. They were later divorced. Sharon worked many years at the Iowa Veterans Home assisting others before retiring in 2006. She had a passion for dancing & making people laugh. She loved life and cherished her many friends. Sharon also loved bowling, riding her golf cart around town to visit with everyone, cooking, writing, and things that were in the 1950s like her Chevys. Left to cherish her memory are here three daughters: Tonya (Jon) Van Hauen of Parkersburg, IA, Sonia Pikna of Grundy Center, IA, and Lisa Arkland of Souix Falls, SD; one sister: Vicky (Don) Reid of Leach Lake, MN; one brother: Larry (Vivian) Noble of Platteville, MO; 9 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her mother Betty and father Wesley.
