Sharon Roberts

Sharon Roberts, age 74, of West Des Moines, Iowa, passed away in the comfort of her home on Sunday, September 7, 2025.

Per Sharon’s wishes, cremation rites have been accorded and a private family service will be held. She will be laid to rest at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Marshalltown beside her husband Chris. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Sharon’s name may be directed to the Animal Rescue League of Marshalltown. Sharon Kay Edler was born January 14, 1951 in State Center, Iowa. She was the youngest of two daughters born to Eldon and Lillian (Prochaska) Edler. Sharon attended school in State Center and attended West Marshall graduating in the Class of 1969.

On May 18, 1991, Sharon was united in marriage to the love of her life, Chris Roberts. They made their home in West Des Moines, Iowa. Sharon worked for Wells Fargo and specialized in underwriting. In her free time, Sharon enjoyed scrapbooking, crocheting, cooking/baking, watching golf and tennis on TV.

Those left to remember and cherish her memory are her children, Shannon (Chris) Johnson and Sean (Kimm) Roberts; her grandchildren, Cory (McKaylea) Johnson, Kyle Johnson, Carly Johnson, Logan Johnson and Amiya Roberts; two great-grandchildren, Everlee and Cove Johnson; and her sister, Gayle (Jim) Nason along with Steve, Janine and Meadow Conrad.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Chris and her parents, Eldon and Lillian Edler and nephew, Brian Nason.
