Sharon Kay (Smuck) Stowe was born on May 22, 1945, in State Center, Iowa; she was the daughter of Murl and Alice (Tesdall) Smuck. Sharon spent most of her childhood years growing up in Story City, Iowa. Some of the things she enjoyed in her youth were playing her accordion, skating and going to the Drive-In in Ames with her boyfriend Larry who later became her husband. On September 3, 1964 she was joined in marriage to Larry Stowe of Cambridge, Iowa. Their marriage was blessed with two sons and one daughter. Her legacy is the many amazing lives that will live on because of her along with her kindness and love. They will in turn share their stories to those deprived of knowing or remembering the wonderful woman she was. Sharon loved spending her time at the many family gatherings; She enjoyed her family time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren most of all. Sharon was also an avid fan of Elvis Presley. Some of her favorite memories were trips with her family such as Florida which included Disney World, trips on the Amtrak train to California with her husband on a journey to visit their Daughter, she also enjoyed many other trips with her family. Sharon had several jobs throughout her life with her most recent one being an office assistant at Sunset Village Mobile Home Park in Marshalltown but the most important job by far was babysitting her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren plus the many other children she babysat that still to this day call and consider her their Grandma. Left to treasure her memory are her husband of 53 years; Larry, their two sons, Murl Stowe of Dunbar children Ridge and Leven; Jeff (Marcia) Stowe of Dunbar children Chris (Lacey) Stowe, Theresa Warnell, Timmy Warnell; Natalie (Curt) Erickson of Boone children Jessica Foster, Zachary Plaehn & Travis Plaehn: a brother Mike (Elaine) Smuck of Story City and 13 Great Grandchildren plus one on the way and many others too numerous to mention including nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 sisters and a niece. Heaven has truly gained a beautiful Angel who on earth always put everyone ahead of herself.         A luncheon will immediately follow the celebration of life at the Church.
