Shary Ann Callaway

Shary Ann (Hilsabeck) Callaway, 77, of Conrad, IA, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 30, 2015 from complications of cancer. She was born on November 5, 1938, to Lloyd and Myrtle Hilsabeck. She graduated from Union-Whitten High School in 1956 and married Larry Callaway the same year. Shary spent most her life raising her four children and helping on the farm. She served on the Womens Fellowship Committee and was a long time member of the Whitten Community Church. She was also an avid sweepstake participant, loved to read and loved animals. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Larry Callaway, and their four children; Cindy (Scott) Tuttle, Ginger (Kim) Nichols, Tracy (Lynn) Callaway and Kelli (Joe) Conger. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Shary was preceded in death by her Father, Brother ( Don Hilsabeck), Mother and Sister (Jean Maland). Memorial contributions can be made to the Animal Rescue League of Marshalltown. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, December 3 at Mitchell Family Funeral Home. The family will greet friends from 5-7:00 pm, Wednesday, Dec. 2 at Mitchell Family Funeral Home.
