Sherry Jean Ahrens, 62, of Toledo, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at UnityPoint Health- Allen Hospital in Waterloo, Iowa and under the care of Allen Hospice.

Sherry Ribby was born on March 9, 1961 to Eugene “Gene” and Denise (Ewing) Ribby. Sherry graduated from South Tama High School then went on to Marshalltown Community College to receive her degree in nursing. She enjoyed crafting, scrapbooking and cross stitching. Sherry was a talented artist, and made beautiful wreaths. She also loved to travel, especially to New York and Michigan. Above everything else, she cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren.
Sherry is survived by her daughter: Rachel (Heath) Palmer of Davenport; mother: Denise Ribby; “Inherited daughter”: Jamie (Jason) Flathers of Tama; grandchildren: Elizabeth, Blake, Ayden, Christopher, Cloey and Zander. She is also survived by siblings: Chris (Debbie) Ribby of Montour and Alan Ribby of Tama; along with nieces and nephews: Natasha (Ryan) Ribby, Brian Ribby and Storm (Mariah) Ribby and other extended family members.
Sherry is preceded in death by her daughter: Angelina Bick; father: Gene Ribby and “inherited daughter”: Amy Tomas.
