Sherry K. Argo, 75, of Marshalltown, Iowa, passed away on Monday, February 22, 2016, at Central Iowa Healthcare. Following Sherrys wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. Public memorial gathering for Sherry will be held on Friday, February 26, 2016, from 2:00 p.m. 4:00 p.m. at Mitchell Family Funeral Home where her family will be present to greet friends. Goreham was born on January 25, 1941, in Grinnell, Iowa, the daughter of Lyle and Ruth (Thompson) Goreham. She was raised and educated in the Grinnell school district, graduating from Grinnell High School. On September 26, 1961, Sherry was united in marriage to the love of her life, Darrell Argo in West Des Moines, Iowa. From this union two children were born: Deneen and Nicole. Sherry was employed as the secretary for Meredith Publishing Company before marriage. Following their marriage, she wanted to become a homemaker and take care of the family. Sherry had a love for her family, reading, garage sales, playing cards and square dancing with Darrell. The family would like to thank the staff of Central Iowa Healthcare and the Hawkeye Care Center for the care given to Sherry during the last seven months. Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Darrell Argo; one daughter: Nicole (Dan) Waller; two grandchildren: Zach and Olivia Waller; one brother: Gary Goreham and one sister: Sue Revell. She is preceded in death by her parents and one daughter, Deneen Krajcir.
