Sherry Diane Vanzee

Sherry D. Vanzee, 67. of Marshalltown, passed away at home on Thursday, December 16, 2021, while under the loving care of her family and the Iowa River Hospice. To honor Sherry’s and her family’s wishes, cremation rites will be given by the Mitchell Family Funeral Home. Her family will host a memorial service for Sherry at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, January 15th at Hope United Methodist Church. Burial will in the Rose Hill Memorial Garden at a later date. Born to John and Barbara (Menter) Collins on April 2, 1954 in Marshalltown, Sherry grew up here and graduated from the Marshalltown High School.  She married Kyle Quick and the couple later divorced. Later, she married Craig Vanzee and Sherry worked in the environmental services department at the Marshalltown Hospital for many years before retirement. She enjoyed being an avid Iowa Hawkeyes and Green Bay Packers fan but most of all she loved and cherished sending time with her family. Those left to cherish her memory are her children: Michael & Andy Quick and Dylan and Kinze Vanzee; her mother, Barb Collins; her sister, Jill Dewey and six grandchildren: Drew, Trey, Trinity, Chloe, Caitlin and Tristen. In eternal life, Sherry joins her father, John Collins and her brother, Tommy Collins.
