Shirley Mae Niedermann

March 14, 1945 — February 12, 2022

Shirley Mae Niedermann, 76, of Toledo, passed away Saturday, February 12, 2022, at Sunny Hill Care Center in Tama. Shirley’s funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 15th at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Tama. Interment will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery, Toledo. Family and friends are also invited to the visitation beginning at 8:00 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Wieting Theater in Toledo or the Toledo Fire and Ambulance. Shirley was born on March 14, 1945 in Toledo, the daughter of Arthur and Hazel (Isenhower) Taylor. She grew up in Toledo and attended the Toledo High School. On December 27, 1965, she was united in marriage to Darrel Niedermann in Owatonna, MN. The couple made their home in Toledo. Shirley was a wonderful and devoted wife and mother and will be greatly missed. She was a faithful member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Tama and was an active member of the Wieting Theater Guild in Toledo for thirty-one years. She enjoyed reading and most of all she dearly loved spending time with her grandchildren. Those left to cherish her memory is her husband, Darrel; her children: Lorie (Anthony “Bernie”) Gaydos, Robert (Barbara) Bennett, Lisa (Tracy) Niedermann-Scott, LeAnn Rouse and Lynnette (David) Dietze; fifteen grandchildren: Amanda (Aaron) Gaydos, Matt (Denise) Benette, Dr. Andrew (Katie) Gaydos, Jessica Kaplan, Abbi Mapes, Alissa Hebrink, Jasmine Hebrink, Marissa Bennett, Jasmine (Jase) Jordan, Brandon (Nicole) Boldt, Brody (Samantha) Boldt, Tanner Boldt, Taylor Boldt, Emma Harwick and Leea Harwick; sixteen great-grandchildren: Hailey and Hannah Kaplan, Valerie Bracy, Everleigh and Raelyn Boldt, Julia Clark, Gabe and Ali Applegate, Clyde and Ray Bennett; Samuel, Augustine and Gianna Gaydos, Linkoln Moore and Jaxon and Alivia Mapes; and her sister, Elizabeth (Chester) Bearden. In eternal life, Shirley has been reunited with her parents; her brother, Raymond Taylor and two sisters, Betty Cosner and Judy McClane; her great-granddaughter, Aubrey Mapes and her in-laws Louis and Frances Niedermann.
