Shirley Shrauger

Shirley Mae Shrauger, age 92, of Liscomb, Iowa and formerly of Longmont, Colorado, passed away in the comfort of her home surrounded by family on Sunday, January 4, 2026.

Shirley was born April 29, 1933 in Longmont, Colorado. She was one of two daughters born to Everet and Alice (Eaton) Shrauger. She attended school in Longmont. Shirley worked over the course of many years as a switchboard operator for the Mountain Bell Phone Service where she would later retire from. She was an active member of the Rebecca Lodge in Longmont and participated at the First Methodist Church in Longmont. In her free time, she spent her time either reading a good book, sewing, gardening, golfing or attending church. In 2024, she moved to Liscomb, Iowa to be with her family.

Those left to remember and cherish her memory are her great-nieces and nephews, Victoria Elwood, Deborah Jackson, Michelle Mcauley and Brandon White.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Everet and Alice Shrauger and her sister, Barbara Commons.
