Mr. Stan Anderson, 67, of Bella Vista, Arkansas, husband of Lola Mincer Fiddelke formerly of Marshalltown and Des Moines, died early Thursday morning, April 9th, at his home in Bella Vista after a long courageous battle with cancer. Graveside funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 16th, at the Hillside Cemetery at State Center. Visitation will be held with the family from 9:30 until 10:20 at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home West Marshall Chapel, 104 West Main Street,in State Center on Thursday morning. Born Stanley Nimmo Anderson on May 1, 1941, in Edinborough, Scotland, UK. he was the son of William George and Mary Brown Wiley Anderson. He received his education and graduated from school in Scotland and then moved with his family to Canada at the age of 16. He served in the Canadian Reserves and also the Boys Brigade in Scotland. Stan was employed with the Canadian National Postal System for many years until retiring from there in Toronto. He was married to Mary Claire Anderson from 1971 until her death in 2005. On October 8th, 2007, he married Lola Mincer Fiddelke in Des Moines. They made their home in Bella Vista. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife Lola, her children: Monica Jessen (Chad Rose) of West Des Moines, Michelle (Eric) Salmon of Des Moines, Melody Berns of State Center, Melanie (Derek) Fiscus of Davenport, Millette (Michael) Shores of Ankeny, grandchildren, his brothers William Brian (Carol) Anderson of North Delta, British Columbia, Canada, Leslie Carmichael Anderson of Toronto, sisters-in-law Ann and Margaret and a host of friends. In death he has rejoined his parents and wife, Mary Claire.
