Stan was born May 21, 1944 in Milan, Ohio to parents Jesse and Wanda (Hurley) Condon. Once he turned 18 years old, he enlisted in the United States Navy. He honorably served his country for 20 years as a Petty-Officer 1st Class before retiring.

During his leave in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Stan met the love of his life, Sandy Prieur at Woolworths Drug Store. He wrote her a letter with an engagement ring, inviting her to South Carolina and the rest was history. The two were united in marriage on October 22, 1965 in Charleston and spent the next 17 years traveling around the United States with the military.

Upon his retirement from the Navy, the couple settled in Central Iowa. He worked for a time at Pepsi and after that he worked for the Metro Transit Authority. After he retired from there he spent some time working at Drake University in maintenance. After his retirement, they stayed in the Midwest during the summer months at Shady Oaks Campground in Marshalltown, Iowa and spent their winters in Harlingen, Texas.

In his free time, Stan enjoyed going to sprint car races and spending time with his family. He had a great sense of humor and never met a stranger. He will be deeply missed by all those who knew him.
