Stephanie (Lesinski) Brown

Stephanie Brown, age 59, of Melbourne, Iowa, passed away on Monday December 2, 2024, at UnityPoint Health – Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.

A celebration of life is scheduled for Sunday December 8 at 12:30 P.M. at Mitchell Family Funeral Home of Marshalltown. Pastor Bobby Shomo will be officiating. Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation one hour prior to the service, also at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the family for a later designation. Stephanie Marie (Lesinski) Brown was born August 1, 1965, in Minneapolis, MN. She was the daughter of Felix and Doris (Guter) Lesinski. Stephanie attended Regina High School and graduated with the class of 1983. On September 24, 1988, she married the love of her life, James “Jim” Brown and they made their home in Melbourne, Iowa. Stephanie worked for Hy-Vee Grocery Stores, followed by the United States Department of Agriculture. In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with her two sons, Michael and Daniel. Stephanie was also a well-known cat lover and loved being cat-mom to her eight fur babies.

She is survived by her husband Jim Brown; her two sons: Michael and Daniel Brown; three sisters: Kathy, Michelle, and Anna Marie; and her eight cats.

Stephanie is preceded in death by her parents, Felix and Doris.
